Scavenger Hunt

Organized by the Physical Computing Makerspace at UMass Amherst

This is a scavenger hunt based on the Amherst campus of the University of Massachusetts. Each question consists of a picture and a clue to help you find a word, phrase, or name that can be found by visiting the location where the pictures were taken. All locations are accessible by foot. While most clues reference things outside, some ask players to enter public buildings. Some locations may require extended travel time, especially in the Extended Campus Scavenger Hunt.

There are two scavenger hunts that you can print out or view online:

Hunt 1

Central Campus

Duration ~1 hour

Questions 18

Area Middle Campus

Takes about an hour to complete. 18 questions focused on the middle of campus.

Area Full Campus

A supplementary hunt that picks up where Hunt 1 leaves off. Ranges across the entire main campus — best tackled after completing the Central Campus hunt.
